Does anyone have any experience with Rab’s recently launched backpacks that they’d like to share? Specifically, I’m interested in the Alpine 45 pack and may buy one if I can find it available stateside for ease of return should it come to that. So far I’ve only been able to find them available from UK vendors.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Rab Alpine packs.

I can tell that from 2015 Rab will stop producing packs. Lowe Alpine will produce purely the pack-models and Rab purely the clothing-models.

Interesting – thanks.

Do you know if Lowe Alpine is going to maintain the Alpine packs as is? I generally like Lowe's current range of mountaineering packs, but don't find their hip belts particularly appealing.

What about PODSacs? Rab's packs are obvious copies of PODSacs' Alpine packs, which I assume was schemed up when Equip Outdoor Tech LTD swallowed all of them up. Is PODSacs still selling their packs?

I don't immediately see the Rab-packs in the LA-collection for 2015.

PODsacs has been sold by Equip to PlanetX and PODsacs still sells its packs.

Well, the deed was done. I snagged one on sale from Taunton Leisure (online).
