I'm planning to do the Morrison and Rimrock loop in Pennsylvania's Allegheny NF. If there's enough snow, I'm considering using a plastic sled pulled with ropes. The sled is the Emsco Expedition (formerly the Beast) and measures approximately 5 feet by 16 inches. It has built-in runners which will hopefully help on the sidehills, but I haven't had a chance to test it.
Anyone who has hiked this trail in winter or even summer have any suggestions or thoughts?
