Thank you for the heads up!

This pricing is actually better than their black Friday sale…especially if you get a warmer bag (like a 30 or 40) at 800 fill power…makes it over 20% discount (their black Friday sale on 800 fill power was only 10%).

Of course….if you get higher fill power (850/900), its a worse discount than black Friday (which was 20% off for those higher fill power quilts) since the discount is $50 straight (not percentage based)

Just got tracking info on my quilt – that was really fast considering over 200 people signed up and I was near #100.

The first groups of quilts should be shipping (some have already) this week. They will be mostly in order but might be mixed up some as we tend to cut batches of the same size together to speed up production by not switching between templates.

I think MassDrop had posted they'd ship by 1/27. Some have, and more will but there will be many that get pushed into Feb. Last Jan was by far our slowest month of 2014 so we picked Jan when MD contacted us. This Jan however is the busiest month we've had for regular priced sales, then add 230 Mass Drop quilts. I can't hire staff fast enough;)

Let the fact that you saved $50 soften the fact that you have to wait a little longer;)

That's a great problem to have, Tim. I'm glad to hear it. I am one of the 230 and I'm so glad because I've been wanting to switch to your quilts for a couple years now. Trouble was, I had a WM Summerlite and couldn't justify the price for a really limited, if any, weight savings on a 30° quilt. Now, the bag is worn out enough and the price point was great so I could justify the purchase.

I don't mean to come across as a naggy or paranoid customer, however, I am wondering if you can offer any assurance about the quality of the quilts given the relative inexperience of the new staff and time crunch on the orders.

I know you stand by your quilts 100 percent and have outstanding customer service. I wouldn't have got the quilt otherwise.

Thanks for your time and consideration,

Brian

Also, thanks for adding the Orange as an option.

No worries. New staff haven't started yet and they all start in non critical roles. They build the straps or stuff sacks. They cut the drawcord tubes out. The most any new staff will do is sew baffles, and they will be well supervised. I only hire based on my own personal relationships or referrals from current staff, no slackers off the street just needing a job for 2 weeks to claim unemployment (well once;) There is nothing to worry about I assure you.

Looking forward to getting my second quilt from you Tim. The discount encouraged me to get a combo I probably wouldn't have tried out otherwise. Also what are the clips for the pad straps called? I would like to find some loose ones to mess with a couple things.

Waiting to get in on the next drop. Is there a good chance EE will accept another drop this year and if so does it include any configuration such as the Revolt?
Thanks

Absolutely no idea if we will be open/asked to do it again. We need to get through all these orders and then plan for the next 6 months.

Tim,
Thanks for participating in the drop. I really hope that it works out to be a good deal for your company – I know that a lot of cottage retailers in the early days of groupon got totally shafted when they participated and am hoping it's not the case for your experience with massdrop.

I look forward to getting my quilt – everyone who has one loves it so I know it'll be great.

To the person asking when another drop would happen, you can always log into massdrop and find the prior drop and re-request it (there is a button) – I think when there are 200 unique re-requests they will re-initiate a drop.

Depending on how the revelation works out for me I might participate in a future one w/ the Apex synthetic material.

Still waiting on mine from the last drop. Getting a bit nervous because I am leaving to hike the Pinhoti trail to the Smokies in a couple weeks. I thought I'd be safe with the initial estimate of sending them out at the end of January.

Anyone else get theres' yet?

We have been overwhelmed by the order volume for sure. We are working to get the full drop shipped by next Friday.

Mine, number 26, hit the post office on Feb 2 and is currently winging its way to Canada according to USPS tracking.

Just got the quilt delivered 20 min ago. Looks great, in the storage bag it feels like a little cloud! Very glad I ordered one and will definitely be getting a synthetic one next.

Kodak,

I'm very glad you like it and I hope it was worth the wait.

All,

I'm sorry this has taken so long and I thank you all for your patience. We have most of the drop shipped now and will be finishing the rest next week.

This whole thing has been really tough, we are trying to learn from our mistakes on this and are making strides to get caught up across the board. I'm sorry if this has been a sour taste for any of you. This has certainly been a case of growing to fast for your own good.

Yes thanks Tim. Mine comes Wednesday and unfortunately I'll be in Florida all week so I won't be able to use it right away.

the next massdrop will let me get a nice deal on a -20F rated quilt when I have the funds for it! or an EE sale, either way, I still need to save up some money!

Tim, I think it's great that you offered to work with Massdrop on getting broader exposure for your product. While it seems there's interest for another drop, you could limit the drop to fewer orders to pace out the work. I can't imagine getting hit with 200 orders at once.

Just in time for a 6 day hike 40/20 temps with 6 to 8 inches of snow possible here in Arizona, Mogollon rim, Arizona trail passage 28. The quilt is beautifully crafted. Worried 0 ℉ is a bit to warm for higher temps than the 20 ℉ range, I will be thankful for this trip I am sure :)

Thanks EE, Tim for working with mass drop!

Paul
