Spotted this yesterday, it's great reading.
Great article and one more thing I'll copy and take out to read on my January trip. I like his layer pics at the start of the article.
Overall good article.
Couple of gaffes. Misspelled Brynje and called it the wrong material. It was called Polyurethane in the article, should be polypropylene. (Brynje also has mesh layers made out of a blend of wool and nylon).
printed it out.
great stuff. great attitude too.
if only for the face mask .. because i was well along in designing my own.
thanks !

Justin,
Not sure if you know, but Andy suffers from dyslexia.
If you have read his books he mentions it a lot.
Hi Stephen,
No, i wasn't previously aware of that. I've read a few articles here and there, but none of the books.
Hi Justin,
His books are well worth a read, he really is a very
humble person given his accomplishemts.
Start with Pyschvertical.
Thank you for the suggestions Stephen.
One of his talks,

Andy has been described as the world's first stand-up mountaineer, well worth a watch.
Enjoy, Dave
I LOVE reading Andy's writings; I've definitely learned a lot from the guy over the years. He's a real badass, that's for sure!
