Hundreds of movies have been filmed there, ranging from the Lone Ranger to Star Trek. It is interesting to recognize a particular formation where you once saw a shootout or an alien.

The Alabama Hills have one of the best assortments of natural arches. For the best one, you can frame up Mount Whitney within the archway.
