Has anyone made the Minima Vest from thru-hiker.com? If so,
1) What kind of warmth are you getting out of the 1.8oz Primaloft… and do you like the vest?
2) Was it an easy project? (I've never done one)
…I'm thinking about getting the 2.5oz Climashield instead of the Primaloft…
Has anyone made the Minima Vest from thru-hiker.com? If so,
I have not made or used a Minima but I did make and use a Kinsman pullover using 1.8oz PL. It's been fine for me sitting idle at 40F … but I don't get cold easily.
If you come to the conclusion that you need more insulation than that, the 2.5oz Climashield is rated at 53% more CLO than 1.8oz PL Sport for only a 20% weight penalty in the finished garment … not a bad tradeoff.
