i have this jacket and love it for the weight, warmth, price. perfect to wear by the fire down into the low 40's. weighs around 8 oz in medium. large fit- i usually wear a large and the medium in this jacket is a tailored fit for a midlayer (6'0, 185). i think it's about 2oz of 600 fill. no hood option but it has a smooth zipper and handwarmer pockets.

and then use the 30% off coupon here to take it to $48:

I believe these are the Costco jackets, correct? Actually..maybe not. I have a Costco bought hawke and co. $20 down vest….seems good quality to me (especially for $20!), weighs 6.45 oz, so yeah, I would probably believe the jacket weighs a bit over 8.

My wife bought some Costco jackets before with a hood..but they were around 12 oz I think….they probably weren't hawke and company but can't be sure.

I'll probably pick one up and see if the price difference is enough to sell my ghost whisperer.

Darn….I got it in, and it fits me better than my ghost whisperer (I got a medium and it fits me very nice at 5'10" 170lbs, athletic build).

However…its not 8 oz…its 9.7 oz. (compared to 7.4 oz for my large ghost whisperer). I do worry a bit about the build quality, and there didn't seem to be very much down in the sleeves.

Man…I really wanted to like this b/c of the fit and price, but it looks like I'll be returning it.
