Well, BPL, on December 15th I'm off to London to start a happy new chapter of life with a lovely young lady, and a wet windy new chapter of my backpacking travails.
I've read Martin Rye, Rob Pollard, Mike Thompson, Joe Newton and Hendrik for some years, with renewed attention to detail since deciding to move… but I'd like the whole glorious nigh-chaffy thread-derailing BPL take.
So: all and any advice would be welcome.
Kit, awesome places to walk, how to best get there, what to do, what not to do, explanations for how a country that absolutely dominated maritime trade and the world at large for three hundred years solid has yet to master the single sink tap, etc.
For those of you who'd like to chime in on the gear front, here are the relevant bits of my intended setup; *function* revisions/additions welcome regardless of weight.
