I was looking for a new Primaloft jacket and found all kinds of deals at Cabelas just searching on "Primaloft." They have a basic quilted jacket with fleece side panels for $35. There were a number of other insulated jackets and they have tall sizes too. No idea what the weight is. From my experience, Cabelas runs large on sizing.

Also, you get free shipping through 12/2 using "4WINTER" in the promo code blank on checkout.

They have a lot of Power Dry stuff on sale too, but I didn't see any eye popping deals.

I got mine today and it looks like a great bargain. 16oz in size large, fleece panels in the torso and underarm, Lycra bound cuffs, microfleece beard guard on the collar, hem drawstring, zippered hand pockets. It has typical Cabela's boxy cut at 25" across the armpits, 28" back length and shortish on the sleeves at 35" from the center of the collar to the cuff. Tall sizes are $3 more. The free shipping promo mentioned above is over, but replaced with a free shipping over $49 with code "4JOLLY".

Thanks for the deal and write up Dale. Looks pretty good, love the fact that it uses 100% recycled PL black. Any idea on the clo of PL Black vs Gold?

"Any idea on the clo of PL Black vs Gold?"

No idea of the actual numbers. As you can imagine, it feels denser than the high priced stuff. To add to the fray, there is Primaloft Black Eco and Primaloft Black Hi Loft. This jacket uses the Eco variant.

I wouldn't drop the $99 MSRP on this jacket, but at $35, this is the one to get bicycle chain grease, pitch and ember holes in. This is the ~40F wet weather camp jacket, where down sucks and the 60g fill jackets don't give enough warmth. Perfect for PNW shoulder seasons.

Cabela's also has a 1/2 zip primaloft variation without the hybrid panels at the same price. My medium tall weights 12ozs.
