I'd thought about using mini-carabiners. They would add weight, but simplify by not having to tie and untie knots from the tie-outs. However the Girth Hitch solves the problem too without adding weight.

I like it… I never liked 'Girth Hitch' and only realized what it was and that I knew how to tie it about a year ago… I learned the Lark's Head / Luggage Tag from my dad… oh, like two decades ago…
