I’m still working on my final review of the MSR Windboiler. There’s a freaking lot to cover. Yipes.
I’ve just completed my reviews of some of the optional extras, the Coffee Press and Hanging Kit.
The coffee press is nice, particularly how it fits onto the bottom of the pot, effectively taking up no additional space.
The hanging kit has what I think is an outstanding feature: You do NOT have to disassemble it to pack it in the pot. Wrap the cables around the burner, drop in the pot. Next time you use it, just pull it out and hang it. No need to fiddle with set up. I like that a lot. Of course most backpackers don’t use a hanging kit, but climber do and perhaps hammock campers could suspend it from their ridgeline and cook underneath their hammocks in rain. Weight 13 g.
