I thought these Inov-8 roclite 390 GTX lightweight boots had held up reasonably through 2 seasons of shoulder and snow season trips (somewhere around 30-40 days).

This 3rd season they leak water through the toes, maybe from abrasive debris entering the mesh forefoot upper then being trapped between the gtx liner and the toe/side rand that's held tough.

Not bad considering the use….. But what really gets me is the fabric-loop 'eyelets' for the round shoelaces!?X!? I suspected they wouldn't last but never got around to putting micro keyrings on the loops . Today the first 'eyelet' wore through and broke. Several others close to breaking too.

I bought these oversized for VBL neoprene sock winteruse (based on RJ's recommendation) and love the lightweight and low heel-rise. They haven't disappointed in performance… until now. Edit to add: they were used under OR gaiters during winter and dirty girls in the shoulders. Cleaned after trips.

Any ideas on how to myog a fix? Any chance for a warranty from across the pond.

I wore most tread off a couple pair of older inov8, my last have 650 miles. Did not have that problem.

In fact, I yearn for the round laces and loop eyelets. They "stay put" once adjusted. Every time you tie your shoes you don't tighten up the whole foot. With the current thin flat laces, every time i tie shoes it overtightens the whole foot down to the toes. Horrible designs.

Hi Kevin,
I highly doubt you'll will get any warranty for a shoe that's few seasons old.
GTX liner on my 288 model gave up after a season, it actualy got torn in few places and I got refused from Inov8 warranty claiming that the model is no longer in production and I bought old stock shoe. I had few Inov8 in the past when they were high quality shoes, some are still usable but turned away from looking at their current line up due to bad quality and customer service from their side.

Cheers
