Shoot.

I'm 6'1" and about 160lbs and I wear a Medium T-shirt. If I buy a large T-shirt, I look like a slob.

However, I wear a large jacket, LS shirt, sweatshirt, raincoat, etc. large pretty much everything else. And they all fit well.

So, how do I size a fleece vest without buying a measuring tape and going full tailor? Anyone with similar dimensions to me have any advice?

I want to look like this:

segesgsegeg

Not like this:

Thanks!
M

Good luck, 'cause it varies between and within manufacturers' offerings. I'm 6" shorter than you, but big through the chest, and have, or have tried on, vests in size Large that range from form fitting and around the right length to making me feel like I'm wearing a sack dress.

I'm 6'0 172# and a Patagonia vest in medium fits me just about perfect. I bet it'd work just right for you too. Westcomb is great in medium as well.

Each manufacturer has size charts with measurements (inches & cm) for chest, waist, etc. Just google "size chart" along with the manufacturer's name.

Your best bet is to measure yourself (it only takes about a minute) and see how it relates to the manufacturer's sizing.

Also, some manufacturers has "athletic fit" vs. "relaxed fit" items; you are clearly looking for the former rather than the latter.
