What's the best source for 210D Dyneema X gridstop? I've checked around the usual fabric sites that I'm aware of, and Thru-Hiker is the only one who has it. I know that they sell excellent, first-quality stuff, but they charge $27/yard.

That seems like a lot for a fabric that's been around for quite a while and has been superseded by a number of others for some of its chief applications.

Anyone know of any other sources for the material? Thanks in advance.

I don't know of anyone else who sells it. Still the best fabric for exterior pockets on packs, but almost not worth it.

The 200D Oxford DIY Gear Supply sells is a decent substitute, as is this (http://www.rockywoods.com/Fabrics-Kits/All-Ripstop-Nylon-Fabrics/400-x-300-Denier-Cross-Dyed-Nylon-Polyester-Mini-Diamond-Coated-Ripstop-Fabric) stuff from Rockywoods.

That's exactly what I had in mind (that and a few other minor applications since I would already have it).

Dan McHale of McHale Packs sold me some in 2012. At the time he had several weights and coatings. He was at [email protected]. He might be helpful.

Not sure on the direct comparison but-
RBTR is selling 300D and 420D diamond ripstop in half yard increments that is also a good substitute for patches/pockets at $6.00 per half yard.
