I am looking to buy my first down jacket for 3 season use. I have heard good things about Montbell. Campsaver has the Rab Microlight Alpine Light on sale for $100, but the reviews seem like there might be better options. What jackets do you recommend?

I would highly recommend you go with Montbell. I have been using their products for almost 10 years and have no complaints. Their build quality is on par with Patagonia and Mountain Hardwear and is far cheaper. I bought an Ex Light Down Anorak for 3 season use from them and recently bought a Frost line parka for winter use. Both are great.
