I stopped carrying T.P. in the wilderness last year and don't miss it at all. I use a few rocks to clean up then give it a good ole hand washing to clean up the rest and use a generous amount of soap to clean my hands.

I'm wondering if any one uses a portable bidet in the wilderness and what options they use. With this model I would probably bring a long a dedicated water bottle for it. What are the smallest/lightest bottles with standard water bottle opening size? I don't think I would need a lot of volume is there a 8 oz or smaller type of drink bottle with the same size opening?. I was thinking a 16 oz sawyer bag might do the trick.

Totally unnecessary. I've found that marmot fur is very luxurious.

I and my GF both use them. Love it. No need for a dedicated bottle. I just use it with my Smartwater 1L bottle that I drink from. Requires very little squeeze for a good stream. Just pick a correct angle to not have any water falling back on the bottle and you're golden. I put the bottle shooting from in back, wash with my other hand from the front. Rinse, rub and rinse, soap rub and rinse, soap wash and rinse hand, Sterilast hand, done.

Used it the whole JMT this year and on average used anywhere from 250-500ml per washing. Never even bothered me in the least on the cold mornings with what probably was 38-42F water.

BTW, also makes for an easy to use "between the knees squeeze" faucet. Also makes periodically washing and rinsing your pits and crotch between bandana baths a lot easier without getting funk-water all over your drinking bottle.

I think the thing weighs a whopping 0.2oz as well.

I'm glad to hear that it works well. I got a japanese style bidet toilet seat for my home and I love it. I'm excited about bringing the spray cleaning into the woods. Might even get one for work.
