Who knows this type roc-lite 315?

roclite 315

I bought them recently.
But compared to the first set of this type
they do not feel so solid than before.
I wrote some thoughts (in dutch) about the changes through time.
I don’t think they are still “the most durable shoe in the range…”

Hi Ivo,
must be from their 2013-range. There were claims that they had been updated, but no idea what those updates were.

Going through your blogpost, already a few remarks:
– having used Terroc 330's with the same fit, I switched also to these Roclites, but they were definitely narrower.
– the exposed stitches and the lack of the rand were changed to improve the draining capabilities, I guess.

Woubeir,

you can see previous types on the inov-8 site

Mine is not listed.
That is why I have my doubts about it.
I do not understand why they are better draining without a protective rand and with
the exposed stitches.
They only weaken the durability I think.

Indeed I see your model not directly.
But yes, the durability is weakened. Inov-8 has become famous for changes that are not there according to them, but that are there in reality (according to users). Very unfortunate. Search also for the change in Roclite 295 fit e.g..
The better draining capabilities are an assumption based on the fact that the last version shows draining holes that weren't there in the 1st version and the fact that reviews of shoes with a protective rand similar to that of the 1st-gen Roclite 315 show disappointing draining properties.
