55 miles, about half of it off trail in places I'd never expect anybody else to go. Climbed five domes nobody has ever heard of and walked ten miles up a trailless canyon hardly anyone has seen. Didn't see anybody for five full days. What could be better?

Gee; thanks Andrew. Make me want to go there, too, but no clues as to where. Looked like maybe Sawteeth there at the beginning.

I was out for two nights a week or so ago and the most enjoyable parts of my trip were the off trail, and lonely, stretches. So I think I want to find more of those opportunities.

But what I really need to know is: how was the burger, and where was that? I'm guessing the Jolly Kone in Bridgeport, but maybe I can add another post-hike dining establishment to my list.

You're right about the Sawtooths Bill, we went in Twin Lakes and came out Buckeye.

The burger is indeed from Jolly Kone, which is probably my favorite post-hike meal. They're like In-N-Out only with bacon, bigger burgers, and better french fries. It was also followed up with a soft serve ice cream cone. Perfect.

Looks like a fun five days. I need to get to the Sawtooths area. And to Jolly Kone apparently.

Wow! Those fall colors are beautiful and the lighting on the peaks in the first picture makes me wish I was there to explore up that canyon. Thanks for sharing some Northern Sierra awesomeness.

Outstanding trip, gorgeous pictures.

Hard to imagine.

Thanks, Andrew. I'm going to have to give Yosemite another look.

Looks amazing. I'm coming back to America to do this hike , but mainly to get one of those burgers!
