If I wanted to make my own cone with a sheet of Ti…how thick should it be?

I'm looking at .02" grade 2 titanium from online metals. Would that be about right???

Mine is the same thickness – 0.005" Ti foil from TitaniumGoat.com
Made it last year and I think I read somewhere during my research back then that it is the thickness that Trail Designs were using for the original.
Works great with my 0.9 L low Evernew pot.

0.02" in numbers I can understand would be 0.5mm. Much too thick, and you'll have trouble cutting, punching & folding. The commonly-used Al flashing is only 9 mil or so, or 0.234mm.

The 5 mil from TiGoat, or 3 mil from suluk46 would be my suggestions.
