Today I whipped up a little 19 gram chess set from a scrap of Tyvek, a dollar-store magnet set (magnets removed), and about 15 minutes of time. Now I can sit on my sleeping pad and get beat at the same time. Life is good once again.

Hey, that's great. My wife would love to have something like this along (assuming our son isn't with us; he likes to hide the pawns, or try feeding them to the dog).
That' super light.
I've been meaning to make a chess set out of some thin plastic on the laser cutter at school but that sounds way easier and potentially lighter.
