Hello,
I received my XL solomid today :)

I did seam seal it, I used all the silicon came with it to seam seal all the stitching other than the stitching on the bottom edges. Do the bottom edges need to be seam sealed too? if yes, Can I use any seam sealing silicon for tents that I might find in sports stores?

No you do not need to do the bottom seams.

Some do them for extra protection/fraying prevention or because they are really bored and or like the smell.
(I have done some of mine…)
Yes , any translucent 100% type silicone (often used for bathrooms and or water pipes) will do.

Thank you so much.

How often should I seam seal my tarp?

I make my own pyramids and never seal them. The seams run vertically so water just runs down seam.

So, how often do you need to reseal? – never

If you ever detect leakage, then you could re-seal

The only place I've ever had leakage is at a tie-out – an isolated spot where there were seams going through the fabric. Then, there was no place for water to go but drip down, on me.
