spotted someone that wanted a silicone jacket for his camera.
They exist to give a better grip on the slippery type and for some added impact resistance.
So I thought of trying to make my own.
It will probably not look all that good but if you put some thought and care into it , it can be done.
as usual i did it very quickly just as an experiment.
This is the result :

I diluted the silicone just a bit , wrapped the camera with cling wrap and painted 3 9not all that uniform…) coatings on it a few hours apart.
I would think that 5 or so even coatings should do the job.
(one of my corners was too thin so it broke when I peeled the skin off via the screen hole)
For reference this is a commercialy made one :

This might be a good project for a 3-D printer.

Hi Franco
The commercial one – is that silicone, or an injection-molded high-density foam? From the photo it looks like the latter, but I could be mistaken.
Cheers
yes that looks a bit spongy but it is silicone.
I had one in fact for that particular Pentax .
This one

here is another one, described as "elastomeric silicone" :

Ok – but 'they' don't do one for my Canon G15.
Oh well, maybe I will MYOG one day – using your ideas.
Cheers
