So I just got a set of Locus Gear CP3s. I haven't taken them on a hike yet, but I've been messing around with them around the house and backyard.
They are notorious for being noisy (at least in a quiet environment). But so far, I can't tell that there's any rattling noise at all. When I shake them in the air there's nothing, and I can't tell if there's any noise when they hit the ground, other than the noise of the tip hitting. I tried multiple amounts of extension and couldn't reproduce anything I'd describe as a rattle.
Locus Gear was out of stock for a few days before I ordered these, so I'm guessing that in this latest shipment they've fixed the problem. I wish I had an older set to compare to so I could be certain, but I thought people might like to know anyway.
