Don,

Nice setup.

Why not just leave the solo inner clipped in place inside? That's what I do for a quicker pitch.

Hi Dan,

I never thought of that. Sounds like a great idea. Do you do that? How do you pack it up when clipping in the inner? Stuffing or rolling/folding?

1. Six Moon Designs Skyscape X (Cuben fiber solo tent)

2. One of the Tarptent solo tents, either single wall or double wall. Great design, quality, customer service and fair pricing.

The MLD duo with innernet would be my first choice in tents, if I were in the market..although the Solplex seems great too.

Both solve the 'issue' of a raised beak allowing strong winds to catch the tent up like an umbrella…not that this has ever happened with my Hexamid solo long!

I just like the idea of being able to lower the tent near the ground all around in high winds/rain.

I like the extra space that my Hexamid solo gives as compared to a Fly Creek, for example. But at the end of the day, I don't spend much time inside my tent and much prefer stormworthiness to livable space.

Being able to clip the MLD inner net in and pitch the entire tent at one go is great. You can also do this with a Fly Creek…
