I have never found a Bear Paw product weigh to spec so odds are that it is heavier.

Otherwise, there does not appear to be much usable space at the ends so given the sloped walls and pointed ends I suspect this shelter is very small.

Maybe an owner can provide some perspective.

Gary,

I haven’t used one of these but I’m a fan of Bear Paw and they made the tarp/fly you see in my avatar. I’ve been very satisfied with it.

I am not a fan of pointy topped tarps/flys, however. The sloped sides restrict the useable space significantly compared to designs with vertical or nearly vertical sides.

For $75 more (and about the same weight) I’d choose the Z Pack’s Duplex over this tent. Way more room!

Looking at the video it seems like there's a ton of room with those angles. He says the weight is usually less than 9oz with 0.51oz cuben. Right now I'm considering it for winter only. Diamond solo or Solomod XL, or Locus Gear mids. Any prefs?
