I needed an easily available light weight tooth brush for a twenty-eight mile backpack this past Labor Day.

The hospital I work for stocks small ziploc bags of patient's toiletries: cheap toothbrush; small tube toothpaste; travel size mouth wash; cheap plastic comb; hotel sized soap bar. I checked the bin for an incomplete set that had the toothbrush. I asked a nurse's permission and I was the proud owner of a toothbrush named China!

It has traits that are not so dissimilar from a female Hollywood celebrity: super thin, not much of a head, but most satisfactory for cheap weekend getaway.

Best part: .1oz or 5 grams on my Pelouze.

Can anybody beat that for a standard
length brush?

P.S. My home toothbrushes weigh in at .4 oz or 14 grams.

What are the measurements of said celebrity toothbrush? Standard length may not be standardized esp when it's a travel toothbrush huh?

Any extra charge for the Cadmium and lead in the plastic the toothbrush is composed of? (Just kidding, but there was a recent item in the news re: toxics in the toothpaste that comes in the personal hygiene packets you reference).

Simon

Edit: spelling errrror.

Six and one quarter inches. I'll see if I can get a picture up later tonight but it really just looks like a generic white toothbrush.

My home brush is seven and one eighth inches long.

Hospitals also give toothbrushes for small children, which are even smaller.

I use one of these–I don't have it handy to measure, but it is small, light and functional.

I have a 6" toothbrush that weighs 4 grams. It came with something I bought… an air tool I think… or something… it was meant for cleaning parts… not teeth… but it's a regular toothbrush. White handle, black plastic bristles, 6", 4 grams. Pretty cool. But I don't know where you'd buy one. I would think the dollar store would be a good place to start tho'.

Don't "they" even make baby toothbrushes? I think I have seen them at Dollar General.
