There was a fatal bear attack in Bridger-Teton NF in Wyoming last week. Near Cub Creek in Freemont county. They don't know yet if it was a grizzly or black bear although the coroner assumes it was a grizzly.

Very sad. Also somewhat creepy for me because I hiked down Cub Creek not too long ago at dusk. Actually I ran out of daylight and hiked to my campsite in the dark. Probably not a great idea.
I was 100 miles away in the Winds just a couple of days before. I had come out on the 2nd.
