I tried to send my inquire via the "contact" link on "My BPL", but clicking on that link causes my computer to shut down…apparently it is broken. So how do I change my Userid?

You will need:
A cover letter
3 pieces of photo ID
permission slip signed by guardian
Valid credit card
And a notarized request for name change
(Also I recommend $200 cash to bribe the local cops)
Once you have that, send a self-addressed-stamped envelope to BPL headquarters in Bozeman.
After many emails and phone calls and familial threats you may change your name once. Make it a good one because you only get one chance. A second request banishes you to whiteblaze for life.
