I recently came across one of these and it appears to be a really impressive garment. I have not had the chance to test it in cold weather yet, but it appears that it will be a really warm garment that may rival the warmth of my Feathered Friends Helios.

Curious to hear your feedback on this piece if you have one. Although it has less fill than the Helios, the loft is close to the same and it is a baffled vs. sewn through design. Also curious to hear how you think it may stack up against the Helios.

I may end up selling my FF jacket.

thanks
Matt

I've been using a skaha 900 fill sweater with a couple oz overfill for the past 5 winters. Combined with a base layer, an R1, and a nano puff synthetic layer, it has kept me comfortable down to -17 F. Functionally this is an awesome piece, and I plan on using it for a very long time.

Aesthetically, maybe not so much

Pros: very light and warm
Cons: has quite a bit of down leakage from the seams, more than any other down piece I own. The feathers are not pouring out of it, and it hasn't lost any loft or warmth in the past 5 years, but the seams have a really noticeable "hairy" appearance to them. The hood is warm, but not particularly cosmetic.
