I want to do some more small game hunting this fall/winter.
what are some good options on pack rifles?
I was looking at the savage rascal youth rifle, under 3 lbs.
Are there any other good options out there?

Ryan reviewed the "Pak Rifle" not too long ago, 16 oz I think. It seems Ti Goat also had something.
Rocky Mountain Bushcraft has a bunch of in-depth reviews as well. Of course the bushcraft market is different from the UL market, but some overlap there.
Ruta Locura makes a pack rifle kit to drop 26 oz off of the OEM version of the Crickett 22LR. Pricey though, $250 on top of the rifle itself.
+1 on the Cricket which is surprisingly accurate right out of the box. Putting the Ruta Locura stock on it will lighten it even more but for $99 it's fine as is.

The Mossberg plinkster is another option, and can often be found at Wal-Mart for $105. Mine weighs 3 lbs. 13 oz. with empty 10 rnd. magazine.
