Wolf Gap Campground is about 2 hours from DC. I know I could split it into an 18 mile and 8 mile day. Curious if anyone else on here is interested. I'd be targeting sometime in the next few months, love to hit the fall colors if possible.
ALSO, if you're in the DC/Mid-Atlantic area and want a lightweight, distance hiking buddy for some other weekend trip, lemme know!
There's a very good MidAtlantic lightweight backpacking group on Meetup – DC UL Backpacking. They got trips most weekends, and they're a great group of people. You might want to check them out.

Looks like a great route, and it's in a really nice part of GW. I would be interested in going, but I don't think I'll have a free weekend until sometime in November since I'm getting married next month. If you get to it before then, I'd be interested to hear what you think.
