Hi folks,

Just wondering how people are getting on with the open baffles of the Ex Light Anorak.
It has been far too cold in Michigan to test it out.

Was reading through this thread again recently, and this post from Troy caught my interest, since I'm now looking for an "in between" jacket with ~3oz of fill:

"FYI – Link Below they state a MB Plasma Anorak is coming soon and will double the down of the normal plasma. The photo looks like an ExLite anorak but maybe photo just used for the article.

The fill weight on the Plasma is 1.6 oz so the Plasma Anorak should have 3.2 oz of fill and if so I will be in line to buy one if not too expensive.

That should put an XL size at around 8.2 oz.

Unfortunately, it is not to be, but in case anyone else happened to be wondering, here is the reply I got from Montbell after inquiring:

"Owen,
Regretfully, Will, who wrote the post, may have misunderstood the
information provided, but Montbell did not have plans to produce a Plasma
1000 Anorak. The product presented and produced is the EX Light Down Anorak,
which is produced with a 7 denier face material and 900 Fill Power Goose
Down. The EX Light Down Anorak (Product# 2301211) is currently available for
purchase on our website and can further be researched by following the link
below from the Montbell website:

Should you have any further questions, please let us know.
Thank you for your interest in Montbell.

A bit cheeky but I notice a lot on sale but out of stock. If anyone knows of any stock that would be much appreciated.

Richie, after much back-n-forth I finally succumbed to peer pressure and bought the Hadron…and I really like it. It's super comfy, plenty warm for the weight and frankly, I do like it much better than my older Montbell ex light.

Thanks Jennifer.

I'm now torn between that and splashing out on the much-warmer looking Luke's on massdrop.

Jen, how's the fit on the Hadron? Both XL and XXL are on sale

Thanks, Richard

I have the old Stoic Hadron and like it a lot. It fits relatively close in the body. The arm are long (like mine). The cuffs at the wrists are snug for many but fit me just fine, as I have thin wrists.

a bit boxy actually. probably a teeny bit on the largish size. not too much, but we so often say things are "athletic" fit; this is probably more of an "american" fit.

lol.

I wore mine (Women's L) for the first time this weekend. Comfortable for sleeping!

It is boxy, but for an anorak, if it were more "athletic" "form-fitting" or "tailored" I probably wouldn't be able to get it on over my head.
