Folks,

I am trying to figure out whether to get some mesh panels added to my Ook works Sl3 inner or get a custom inner made up from Bearpaw.

I would like to be ablr to use the inner all year round.

Any thoughts or advice?

I would get a full mesh inner with a bathtub floor. That would allow use by itself without the outer tent for camping under the stars in good weather and you don't need to haul the extra weight in the winter. Mesh doors added to your existing inner would probably be the lowest cost. Or luck onto a Golite nest.

Have you considered using your current inner for when the snow's flying and just using a S2S nano net paired with a polycryo ground sheet for the other three months?

Hi Dale,

A seperate inner would be the best option.
Bearpaw is the only company in the US that makes a bespoke inner.
I did pick one up on gear swap and it was far too small for me so I am weary
to get one again.

Hi Ian,

I am looking for one with a sewn in ground sheet.

Cheers both,

Stephen

I have the single but tend to just use a head net when I'm without my tent. You can stake the corners out to keep from swimming in it at night.

Thanks Ian,

I am still a bit paranoid about ground creepy crawlies
as they are in abundance in Michigan.

I have tried a bug bivy but did not get on with it.
