So here is my new solo setup, complete MYOG. I made the tarp first. Dimensions are 6 ft. at the head and 4ft at the foot and 9 ft. long. And last weekend I finished the bivy sack. Based loosely on the pattern at DIY Gear Supply only with 6 in. added to all of the width measurements to make it more roomy. Bathtub floor in bivy is made of same gray 1.1 oz. sil-nylon as the tarp and the top of the bivy is 2/3 of Argon 67 for WPB and 1/3 Noseeum mesh.
Weight of tarp with kelty triptease guy lines and in its cuben stuff sack (also DIY) is: 9.85 oz.
Weight of bivy sack in its cuben stuff sack of same size and make is: 7.45 oz.
Total weight for both is: 17.3 oz.
Total weight with mini-groundhog stakes and poly-cro groundsheet from gossamer gear (size medium), basically all seen in this photo is: 21.9 oz. which is not too bad in my opinion. I am happy with it for now.

The whole setup: tarp and bivy

Looks great, John. Light and simple and clean-looking. One question: you say "the top of the bivy is 2/3 of Argon 67 for WPB". Do you mean DWR?

In any case, nice work. It looks handsome and functional.

Looks good.

Trim a few more grams off the ground sheet? Profile footprint? No rain will collect and less to dry.
