Just wondering what people have thought to be the least stinky of the synthetic baselayers. No merino, no cotton. Some people have been saying stuff made out of Power Dry and others have said certain pieces or brands but I am just trying to get a better view of it all. Thanks.

I like my Nike Dri-Fit stuff, I wear the shirts for several days a week before bothering to wash them, workouts included. However, I can't speak to their stank performance for a 5+ day trip in the backcountry, I usually just go wool for things like that.

My FILA poly shirts smell horrible after just a couple days.

I agree with the DriFit. My socks are DriFit, and they can go many a hard workout without smelling too adversely. I've also had some good experiences with polygiene, specifically the echo shirts from OR.

Something that I can state with certainty is that my UA running shorts smell HORRID after a workout or two. The type of horrid where you want to throw them in a corner far, far from everything else.

Some people have said polygiene but they also have said visa endurance and some other anti stench methods before that did not work.

Well, I should add I do not mean they'll never stink.

I just mean that, in my experience with workout clothes, it takes a little bit more work to get them to that point.

I think any discussion about the stinkiness of synthetic layers should be taken in shades of grey. It's going to smell after a while. It's inevitable. It's just that, from my example, the UA running shorts were horrible after one workout, and I can wear my OR Echo top for a week's workouts and the smell is still close to non-existent.

xstatic / visa endurance (when they had 8% silver or more) often they are 4% worked decently. This year I have tried polygiene (in Patagonia cap 1). It has worked pretty well, but not as well as wool or the best xtstatic shirt I had years ago, but haven't been able to replace :(
