Good stuff Paul.

I am eagerly awaiting signs of autumn. The 90+ temps have worn out their welcome.

Wonderful trip report! I especially love the shout out to West 6th Brewery. (Fwiw, the owner/brewmaster is an AT thruhiker & avid hiker.)

Paul, great looking hike! I’m glad you enjoyed my neck of the woods ;) West Booth Pass is beautiful; the Gore has more than a few of those “amazingly beautiful” pockets that few people get to see. Booth Falls trail (btw) is by far the most popular trail in East Vail. As you probably know, ENW is way more crowded on the Summit County side.

Near your location about a week earlier.

re: Booth Lake

The main reason for that location (besides going over the pass) was because it was off I70. Makes it much easier for my friend's wife to pick us up. Also helped it was later in the afternoon/early evening when we were picked up. A lot less people at this popular trailhead! :)
