I had posted months ago about wearing a skirt when hiking. I just got back from hiking the JMT and I wore a skirt. I did bring a pair of pants, but only wore them in the morning around camp and would remove them before the days hike. It was wonderful. So much easier. I wouldn't wear a skirt hiking in Minnesota or Isle Royal, but on a dry trail such as the JMT, it was liberating. I did make sure and get some color on my legs before I went to California so I did not wear sunscreen and had no problem with burning…..
