Hello all,
I’m going to be in Oakland the first weekend in September visiting family. I’ve talked them into spending a half day hiking around Mt. Tam. I’ve got my brother, his girlfriend, my wife and my parents. None of them are hikers, but everyone is in decent shape. I was thinking about this hike I found online:
It follows the Matt Davis trail from Pantoll Ranger Station to the Coastal Trail then over the ridge to the Cataract Trail and then back to Pantoll via the Old Mine Trail.
This seems like a good hike that we can accomplish in half a day without too much up and down.
If anyone has recommendations for other hikes or comments on that itinerary, I’d love to hear them.
