Will says of the Robic fabric: "The new Robic fabric is impressive, and its specifications indicate it should outperform the previous 140 denier Dyneema Gridstop."

When I first read "Robic", I thought of ULA's 210 Robic fabric, but it seems this stuff is much different. Any one know the difference?

I wonder why they are getting rid of the EZC2 line. Always thought it was one of the most innovating things they did.

Rick you got a blog where I can check out that climbing trip? Never considered a kumo for a climbing pack!

I wonder how this Robic stuff differs from regular nylon fabrics. Is it a brand name or a type of nylon or weave?

Received an email from GG. They are expecting the new packs to be up and running tomorrow.

Any one else thing the new packs are ugly?? I'm glad the shoulder straps are updated but the colors IMO are awful.

I actually prefer the color, or lack of it, to anything bright! I like SMD products, but I can't bear to look at the multicolored new packs.

I think the color is fine, not outlandish looking like some on the market.

I also was a fan of the EZC2 Line, in fact I was making notes of some features I'd want in a custom pack and that was one of the first that came to mind oddly enough.

Is it me, or did the Mariposa just gain a couple of ounces with the refresh?
