Still some skeeters out there in damp or meadowy areas next to lakes. Saw almost none above treeline. I was glad to have a bug proof shirt this weekend and slept in my head net one night. They mostly are around in the early evening.
Just returned from a 14 day JMT thru and the mosquitos are still around, mostly in the lower river valley areas. Way more sheeters then last year and more than I expected. They are mostly gone in the evening but I ended up needing my bugnet for sanity under my tarp about 5 nights.
