Anyone have experience with this tent, especially the 1P model? Seems they tried to address the condensation issues with the Meta. I like the side entry, very long floor, and over 40" height, all things I need in a shelter. Thanks.

By design it looks like a slight improvement. Most likely you'll notice that improvement in the length and in the height you have above your head and feet when lying down in the tent. But why not go with a Six Moon Designs or other cottage tent instead? You can get a lighter 1P tent and probably for less money… SMD makes some great tents that are half a pound or more lighter, and at least $100 less.
If you like the enclosed solo tent with trekking pole style design and don't mind spending a little more, I would HIGHLY suggest the zpacks hexamid solplex tent. One major weakness of this Veda design is the fact that you get rained on with the fly half open… and if it is raining you will get wet and get your stuff wet when getting in and out of the tent in heavy rain. Part of what makes the zpacks better is the fact that it isn't a modified A frame design, so that roof overhangs the floor and door section, even with one door open. IE you can sleep in the rain with a door open on the solplex tent, but not here. Also, after looking at the stats I'm 100 percent sure you'll have sidewalls from the tent touching the side of your sleeping bag. Not good for a non-cuben tent. Condensation droplets will wet through on the nemo… not on the solplex. And I cannot see how anything they've done here will significantly improve the problems with condensation. I have never seen so much condensation as I had in my Meta 1P, even with one door open!
