Heya, I'm doing kearsarge to whitney in early sept, and thinking of adding the below side trips:
Golden bear lake
Lake South America
Wallace Lake or Wales lake
Anyone been to these? Are there use trails to Wallace/Wales, or golden bear?
Im hoping for a little more solitude/awesome views…so if you have other suggestions I'm all ears :)
I don't know how much time/mileage you have for side trips but a walkabout deeper into upper kern basin would be highly recommended. All easy cross country through some of the best I've ever seen. Thunder basin, yum.
