Hi, I will be using a large pot for two people (Stoic Ti 1.6L), and need to get a stove. I was considering a Soto OD-1R (or maybe Windmaster), but was wondering if the support was sufficient for a large pot with a fairly wide base. I'm sure it's possible, but would I be better off with e.g. a SP100 for a large pot?
Thanks,
Gregory

Handles up to a 10" pot and has a large burner head to increase the area being heated to reduce boil time. Has a preheater for coldweather operation as well as a remote canister with a swivel head for turning canister upside down when needed. Mine is 7.1 oz. without the fuel canister. Not the lightest stove out there, but most of the ultralights aren't made for big pots….

The Vega would work well for a large pot, I didn't buy it for that but it's a little over 5" diameter. Weighs 6 ounces and change and has the remote canister line to invert it in winter or use a windscreen.

1.6 liters is not that big. I use a 1.9 liter Open Country Al pot (6" diameter) on an Optimus Crux, It has a pot support diameter of 4.25" and have used it on a Soto OD-1R. Go light.

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't really want to have to buy two separate stoves for my small and large pot, so I think I'll put up with some stability issues with the larger pot. But maybe the SP100 might be a better compromise than the even smaller Soto in this situation.
