Looking for 2-person & gear, bugworthy, silnylon (cuben too rich for the budget) decent sitting up room shelter. Lightest thing I see is either SMD haven with net inner at 32 oz plus stakes,or Squall 2 at 34 oz including stakes (but sitting up headroom in some doubt). Any other ideas?
I hope you don't mind, here's your needs spaced out so people can see them easier:
-2-Person
-Bugproof
-Silnylon
-Sitting Room
~30-40oz
I would check out an MLD DuoMid with an inner net. It'll cost you around ~$350 unless you get stuff used or go for a cheaper inner net, but it'll be fully enclosed and palatial for two. The MLD inner net plus the DuoMid is 33.5oz for all silnylon
I have doubts about the sitting up headroom for 2 in a Duomid. Plus the fact that you can't open the door without getting rain on the floor unless you pull back the inner.
8×10 silnylon tarp with mesh inner… adjust tarp as needed for sitting room or weather.
