Can any tarptent squall 2 users comment on the headroom. I'm tall 6'6". I'm not worried about the floor length with both ends being mesh. Any reasonably tall users out there have any thoughts? Is it possible to sit up in the front without bumping your head on the fly? Pictures I have seen of people in it make it look like the front has reasonable headroom but it is not listed on the Tarptent website as a tent good for tall folks. Then again, I use a moment DW and a SS2 and those are not listed either . . .
I would also be using it purely as a 1 person tent.

Benjamin,
I would expect conflicting opinions even from shorter folk.
That has a lot to do with how we perceive/use front opening tents.
You could make yourself a quick mock up to get a better idea.
took me less than 10 minutes to do this (but I have some practice):
TT Squall 2 mock up

shove the tips into the ground about 42"apart angled so that they are about 18" apart at the top, 45" high.
Put the rear struts 90" away , about 38" apart and 20" high .
Run a string between the front and back leaving some slack so that you get a similar catenary curve as in the real tent.
Now get a mat and sit on top inside that mock up…
(keep in mind that the tent is wider than that, as per this photo)
