REI offers an incentive to apply for their Visa card…

"Enrollment bonus: $100 REI gift card when you apply by 9/31/2014 and make a purchase with your new REI Visa card within 60 days of card approval."

5% back on REI purchases; 1% everywhere else

I'm already an REI member and have one of their cards; there's nothing in this for ma and I'm jsut sharing the information in case it appeals to anyone.

It's funny that they say one item, cuz my friend ordered two pairs of North Face Better than naked long haul running shorts and got both at 25% off. And there I was, like a chump, just ordering one.

Call them and tell them about your friend's experience. I'll,bet they give you the same deal!

Hey, just a heads up on the REI coupons and other deals. When it says usable for one item and I want to buy three items, I just put in three orders. Their system doesn't track how often you use the coupon and since they have free shipping on almost all orders, why not? I do it all of the time. You can also put in an order online and get the same deal in the store. Again, their system doesn't track if you've already used the coupon, just that it's used within the valid coupon date.

Eh, I only wanted the one pair anyways. I've been spending way too much as it is.

As for not tracking, some of their coupons do track now. The last one where they had "save up to an additional 35%" at rei outlet (spend $150+ save 35%, $100, save 30$, etc) for one transaction. I didn't know there was a one transaction limit, and went back to place another order after ordering a couple of jackets and it wouldn't let me use the coupon code as it was linked to my account.
