If you haven't been into Target lately, and you have kids, go!

They have the $25 soft shell jackets back this year (which are nicer this year!), and they have an extensive line of Champion tops/shorts/pants, better than usual. They also have a line of hoodies and thermal layer jackets designed for the outdoors. The jacket is PERFECT for hiking, it is thinner than fleece but warmer. $20 for it.

In the boy's section, sizes 6-16.

Also, Walmart has mock turtleneck Champion long sleeved tops for outdoors in stock.

As usual, the tops at both places are well under $10 each.

yeah, too bad Paul is still so skinny that his 4T's still barely stay on. he dressed himself yesterday and i wondered "why are his shorts so short?" checked the label and he was wearing Eli's 2T's.

i did get him hiking underwear at REI yesterday. a pair of Ex Officio boxer briefs in women's XS. they're just barely snug enough to stay on, but at least he can wear them for a few years. super clearance for $5.83!

I got a fair amount of my warm weather clothing at Target, and we've been keeping an eye out for some stuff for my son. Much appreciation on the sale tip :)
