Has anyone done any backpacking out of Kennedy Meadows? I want to do a short (2 nights max) trip with my 7 year old son.

Any suggestions?

Which one? there are two places called Kennedy Meadows in the Sierra, one southern and one north of Yosemite on Hwy 108.
