3 ounce bar = 360 calories = 120 calories per ounce for only 91 cents……
That's pretty good.
I wonder what the shelf life is?
Not sure on the shelf life.
I took a few backpacking this weekend. I can't force myself to eat another Clff Bar. I like Pro Bars but they're so expensive. John Abela posted on FB that Pro Bars are on sale now so they're more affordable (I believe you have to buy in bulk) but still a bit more than these bars.
I found that these Winco bars were easy to eat and tasted fine. Not great but fine. Short of making them myself, the price is right.
Is Almond/Apricot the only "version"?
How weird, I just picked a couple up on Sunday. Did you see the chocolate version? Same price.
Greg,
There's another version but it had 20 or so fewer calories. Can't remember the flavor but orange maybe?
Alexander,
Chocolate? We don't have that one here but there's another Winco across town I'll check later this week. Their bulk foods section has become one of my favorite places to shop for backpacking trips.

I picked them up at the WinCo in Portland last weekend. It may not be chocolate exactly but coconut/chocolate something or other and was in the bin next to the apricot one.
Incidentially, has anyone ever taken the WinCo "pilot bread" on a trip? It's a sturdy cracker of no real nutritional value ( like hardtack) but it great at dinner time.
Looks good, except for the partially hydrogenated soybean oil.
