Toothbrush

Is this one where the toothpaste "feeds into" the brush when you twist the handle? I was looking into one earlier (different brand) and was wondering: given that the toothpaste compartment connects with the brush, when the brush gets wet with use (and with rinsing afterwards) — will water or moisture work its way back to the toothpaste compartment and turn everything "gooey and yucky"???

The clever toothbush is the other brush where you twist and toothpaste goes into the head. I have used both and prefer the Toob toothbrush. The toothpaste seems to get stuck in to clever toothbrush.

It is but I didn't get the entire brush (MFR weight on that is 1 oz). I just got a pack of the heads that are refillable and actual weight on one of those is 0.1 oz. I didn't have any need for the whole tube contraption.

I've used both…. After awhile the toothpaste in the neck of the Clever gets rock hard! I've boiled it to loosen it up. The TOOB is neater and easier to load your toothpaste into. (I know the original post only dealt w/ the replacement heads.)

I know this thread is talking about a "Toob" toothbrush. I was curious about what was sold at REI.

I use: 1 toothpick, 1 piece of floss, and an Oral-B Brush-Up. The total weight is 1.5 grams per day (about 1/20th of an oz). 1.5 grams for each night of the backpack trip.

I think you can do a very good job of cleaning teeth with the above solution and it certainly doesn't weigh much for a short backpacking trip either.
